30-day satisfaction guarantee
Every piece comes with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee starting the day it's delivered. If you're not happy with your purchase, contact us within 30 days and we'll work with you on a replacement, repair, or refund β whichever makes sense for the situation.
How to start a return
Call or text us at (214) 235-9355, or email sales@cottrellfurniture.com. Include your order number (from your Square confirmation email), photos of the piece, and a brief description of the issue. We respond within one business day β usually faster.
Return shipping
If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, we cover return shipping and send a replacement or refund at no cost to you. For change-of-mind returns (you decided the piece doesn't fit your space or taste), a return-shipping fee may apply β we'll confirm the amount before anything ships.
Condition requirements
Returned pieces should be in their original condition where possible β clean, with original hardware, and repacked in the original packaging if you still have it. Minor signs of use from testing the piece in your home are expected and don't void your return.
Refunds
Once a returned piece is received at our warehouse and inspected, refunds are issued back to the original payment method through Square within 3β5 business days. Square typically shows the refund on your statement within 5β7 business days after that.
1-year manufacturer warranty
Every piece we sell comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects β frame failures, seam splits, hardware issues, and anything else that shouldn't have happened under normal use. File a warranty claim the same way you'd start a return: contact us with photos and your order number. Warranty repairs and replacements are free.
What's not covered
Normal wear and tear (cushion softening over years of daily use, mild fabric fading from sunlight, pet damage) isn't covered under the manufacturer warranty. Damage from freight after delivery (you moved the sofa and it cracked) isn't covered either β though we'll always do what we reasonably can to help.
Damaged on arrival
If your piece shows up damaged from the carrier: note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing, take photos of the piece and the packaging, and contact us within 24 hours. We'll arrange a replacement or refund immediately.
